Wonderfully Unusual Singing

I’m looking forward to seeing how this works.

The brothers at the Golden Gate Church of Christ started a quarterly gathering of Bay Area churches of Christ to celebrate our unity across racial lines. It is mostly a Sunday afternoon of singing gospel songs, a capella (vocal only, as is our habit in most churches of Christ). What is unusual is: the singing will include Philippine dialects as well as English and Spanish.

Though I only recently became aware of these, there have been three previous events at various congregations in the area. This one, being held June 6, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., will be at the Lake Merced congregation’s building, 777 Brotherhood Way in San Francisco. Hope to see you there!
